How to Get Yellow Out of Blonde Hair Home Remedy

Blonde hair home remedies can be as satisfying as they are simple. There’s no need to run out and spend a ton of money on chemical treatments when a few household staples can work wonders. Over the years, I’ve tried or at least heard of a wide variety of household recipes to remove yellow from my blonde hair. A couple was successful; however, most didn’t do what I wanted.

Using hair color remover home remedy

·         Hair Color Remover

This is a gentle method to use if you want to remove the color from your hair without the use of bleach. You can find this product in most drugstores or beauty supply stores, and you simply follow the instructions on the box. You will need to shampoo your hair very gently after this step, and then you will want to apply a toner. This will help restore your hair’s natural color.

·         Baking Soda

If you want to remove the color from your hair with baking soda, it is best to use a mixture of one part baking soda and two parts shampoo. Apply this mixture directly to your hair, cover it with a plastic cap and let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Then, condition as usual.

·         Peroxide

Peroxide is another great way to naturally remove hair color because it helps strip away buildup and chemicals in the hair shafts which can help fade color quickly. However, it is important that you do not leave peroxide on your hair for more than 30 minutes at a time. Also, if you have sensitive skin or scalp, be sure to dilute the peroxide first with water so that it does not cause any irritation during the removal of color from your locks.

Using ash and lemon juice bleach

  • Use an ash toner. If you’re using an ash toner, apply it after shampooing your hair with a clarifying shampoo, then rinse out the toner after 10 minutes. You can use an ash toner every other week or so to keep your blonde hair bright and shiny.
  • Use lemon juice bleach. Lemon juice bleach is a natural product made from lemons, water, and vinegar, which is used as a bleaching agent on light-colored hair.
  • To make the lemon juice bleach, mix equal parts of lemon juice and water in a bowl or spray bottle, then apply it to your hair with a cotton ball or spray bottle until it’s wet all over. Leave it on for 20 minutes.

Using gently with shampoo

Blondes are prone to brassiness because of the color of their hair, but this can be counteracted with a purple shampoo. This type of shampoo works by canceling out the yellow or orange tones in your hair. You should wait until your hair is looking brassy before using it.

  • Don’t use it more than once a week, as it can cause your hair to become dry and brittle.
  • Use a clarifying shampoo once a week. Clarifying shampoos are formulated to deep clean your hair and get rid of any product buildup that might be causing your hair to look yellow or brassy. These shampoos are designed to strip your hair of oils, so they’re not appropriate for everyday use but can help you get rid of yellowing once a week.

Using conditioning treatment and clarifying shampoo

Blondes are known for having the most fun, but they are also known for having rough, dry and brittle hair. Hair is made up of a protein called keratin and it grows out of the follicle, which is a small opening in the skin.Hair has an outer layer, or cuticle, that lies flat to protect the rest of the hair shaft. The cuticle opens when the hair is wet and closes when it’s dry.

This causes the hair to become brittle and easily damaged when it is chemically treated or exposed to excessive heat.Dry hair can also appear dull with split ends and have knots. The best way to get rid of split ends is by cutting them off with scissors.

Tips

To keep blonde tresses soft and shiny, follow these tips:

  • Shampoo less often. Washing your hair every day strips away natural oils produced by your scalp. The oils are what keep your hair moisturized and healthy.
  • If you have oily hair, use a clarifying shampoo once a week instead of daily shampooing. Clarifying shampoos are stronger than regular shampoos so they can remove more oil from your scalp and hair.
  • Use conditioner every time you shampoo your hair.

Using vitamin C natural remedy

Try making your own vitamin C treatment to get yellow out of your hair. It’s cheaper than a salon treatment, and you can make it at home with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.

You’ll need:

  • 1-2 cups of water
  • 1-2 tablespoons of vitamin C powder or crushed vitamin C tablets
  • 1 tablespoon of shampoo
  • Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake well.
  • Apply the mixture to your hair and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing it out.
  • Repeat as necessary until you get the desired result.

Conclusion

It’s a good thing to always treat blonde hair with a lot of care, especially if you got it the natural way. If the yellow touches any part of your hair, the roots may start growing in that color. This is why many women like coloring their hair at home and use natural ingredients for it.
