How to Connect Google Home to School Wifi

Google Home is a great way to interact with various home smart devices. However, sometimes you may encounter problems when using Google Home. For example, you may wonder why you are unable to connect with my Google Home and your device, or you may fail to pair them with your smartphone or tablet.

Open the Google Home app

  • In the top right corner of the home screen, tap Devices to see your available Chromecast Audio devices.
  • Scroll to find the device card for the speaker you’d like to pair.
  • Tap the device card menu > Paired Bluetooth Speakers > Enable Pairing Mode.
  • On your mobile device, turn on Bluetooth.
  • When your speaker appears in the list, tap it to pair.

  • In the upper right corner of the home screen, tap Devices to see available Google Home devices.
  • Tap the device you want to set up Next.
  • To set up a new device, tap Set up device Assistant Voice.
  • Choose language, then tap OK.
  • Follow the steps on your phone or tablet to connect to Wi-Fi network and sign in with your Google Account.
  • If you have multiple accounts on your device, choose the one you want to use with this speaker or display.
  • Choose a room for the device: If this is its first time being used in this room, tap Add new room. Otherwise, tap an existing room name.
  • Set up voice match: If this is its first time being used in this home, follow the prompts to continue setting up voice match.

  • To set up your Google Wifi point with the Google Home app, make sure that you’re:
  • On the same Wi-Fi network as the device, you’re setting up. Not connected to a VPN or proxy. Using an Android phone or tablet.
  • Connecting a single Wifi point If you have a single Wi-Fi point, follow the steps below:
  • In the top left corner of the screen, tap Menu. Make sure that you’re on the home screen by tapping Home.
  • Tap Add Set up device Set up new devices in your home. The app will search for nearby devices that are plugged in and ready to be set up. Choose which Wifi point(s) to set up. When prompted, place your phone near your Wifi point. When your phone is next to your device and both are connected to power, it should light up with a pulsing white ring and say Hi! Connecting. Follow the steps on your phone to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Once complete, you’ll see an option to name your Wifi point(s)

Here’s how to install and set up the Chromecast Audio and make it part of a wireless multiroom audio system with other Cast-enabled speakers.

  • To connect Google Home to your school wireless network:
  • Make sure your Google Home device is powered on.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Wi-Fi Network.
  • Select your school’s wireless network from the list of available networks. If you don’t see your school’s Wi-Fi network listed, tap Add Wi-Fi Network and enter the information manually.
  • Enter the password for your school’s wireless network, then tap Join or Save.
  • If you need help finding your school’s Wi-Fi password, contact your local IT support team.

  • Open the Google Home app. In the top left corner of the app’s home screen, tap Menu Cast Screen / audio Cast Screen / audio.
  • Tap the device you’d like to cast to.
  • At the bottom, tap Cast my screen Cast screen.
  • If your TV has a built-in Chromecast device, you can set it up with just a few clicks on your phone or tablet. You can also use a Chromecast Ultra for 4K Ultra HD and HDR picture quality.

Tap Save. This will save your new settings and connect Google Home to Wi-Fi

  • After you set up Google Home, you’ll need to connect it to Wi-Fi before you can use it. It’s easy to connect your Google Home device to Wi-Fi. Just follow the steps below.
  • If your device is not connected, it will show the Wi-Fi network name and the option to Connect. If your device is already connected, tap the three vertical dots in the upper right corner and select Settings > Wifi
  • Tap on your network name.
  • Enter your password when prompted.
  • Tap Save. This will save your new settings and connect Google Home to Wi-Fi.

You can simply type this in a google chrome browser and connect your device to your school’s wifi network once you reach home and it will reconnect to the network automatically if you restart your wifi or leave and enter again.
