How To Remove D Protection From LG Home Theater

D protection is a security feature which has been added to home theater products manufactured by LG. There has been a lot of heated discussion on the topic of how to bypass d protection.

Many of us love watching free movie channels on our Lg Home Theater systems. However, almost all of these channels use D protection which means that you need to pay for a subscription to watch movies and serials. A less known fact is that D protection can actually be removed in many cases and this article will show you how to do it.

D protection (also known as DRM) can be activated in a region of your LG home theatre’s firmware, but there is currently no way to remove it. This is because the code necessary to deactivate it is not yet available to the public. However, there are several ways you can get around the DRM protection and restore your LG home theatre to its original factory settings.

How to remove d protection from lg home theater

Remove the disc and press the open button. Open the disc tray by pressing the eject button on a LG DVD player.Remove the disc tray from the LG DVD player. Open the LG DVD player by removing the screws that hold it together.

Look for any screws around the edges of the LG DVD player first, and then look for screws near where you put your DVD discs into.

Some players will have more than one screw, but most will only have one screw.

Look in your owner’s manual to see how many screws are required to open up your DVD player if you cannot find any screws on your DVD player.Remove all of these screws from your DVD player carefully and slowly so that you do not lose any of them.

Pull apart your LG DVD player slowly after all of the screws have been removed.Carefully remove all wires and cables connected to your LG DVD player so that you can lay it flat on a table or countertop without anything hanging off of it.

Remove all screws from inside of your LG DVD Player that are holding in place or securing any parts or pieces inside of it.

Procedure to remove the D Protection on LG Home Theater.

The D Protection is a feature of the LG Home Theater that protects it from unwanted power fluctuations. In case you have a power trip or fluctuation, this feature will kick in and will shut down your device automatically. This is intended to protect it from any damage that may be caused by these sudden surges of power.

If you wish to remove the D Protection on your device, you can do so easily. Below are the steps to do so:

1) Unplug all the wires and cords connected to the LG Home Theater.

2) Press and hold the ‘Stop’ button on the Home Theater for about 5 seconds until you see ‘D Protection Off’ displayed on its screen.

3) Your LG Home Theater has now been reset and will no longer be protected from power surges.

Step 1 : Hold the button at front panel and then Plug the Power socket.

Hold the button at front panel and then Plug the Power socket. Hold it for a while until u see it on display of home theater.

When it will be displayed, remove your finger from the button but keep holding that power socket for at least 20-30 secs. Now release the power socket and turn off your home theater completely. Now turn on it again after some time, it will work fine.

The problem arises when you plug in your LG home theater with the power source and after few seconds it shows D-protection on the display of the home theater.

Hold the button at front panel and then Plug the Power socket.In the display of Home theater it shows the D protection is under process if you want to full reset press OK if not press exit.

If you have pressed OK, it will take 3 to 4 minutes to get reset. If you want to cancel it just unplug the power source from behind it will automatically stop. After that again plug in and try to on your device. Now it will work properly.

Step 3 : After pressing OK it shows D protetion is under process.

LG can’t give you the code over the phone, but they can walk you through setting your system to a new region so that it will work in your country.

Call LG customer service and explain the situation. They will ask for your serial number, so have that handy.

Once on the phone with them, press and hold the “stop” button on your DVD player for 5 seconds.

Without releasing it, press the “power” button once.

Release both buttons and turn off the unit using whatever means necessary (remote control or power button).

After turning the unit back on, it should be set to region 1 (or whatever region you’re in, if you’re in a different region).

Step 4 : After completion of this step you will find the D Protection is removed from LG Home theater.

Step 1: Turn off the LG Home theater by pressing the power button.

Step 2: Press and hold the “BACK” button on the remote and plug in the power cable to LG Home theater.

Step 3: Release the “BACK” button after one second and you will get a notification of entering into recovery mode on your television screen.

Step 4: Press the “UP” button on your remote control for four times and select Recovery mode by using “RIGHT ARROW” button.

Step 5: Select Factory reset by pressing “DOWN ARROW” key.

Step 6: After completion of this step you will find the D Protection is removed from LG Home theater.
